Ericsson, a leader in the international telecommunication industry requires the services of dynamic, first class professionals to fill the following vacancies in our newly created sourcing department. The positions will be based in Lagos and will be reporting to the Regional Sourcing Manager, Region Nigeria:

Position 1: Direct Sourcing Manager
Position 2: Indirect Sourcing Manager.

Job requirements for both positions are as stated below:

Direct Sourcing Manager:

Key Responsibilities:

• To establish, manage and develop the Direct Sourcing Function, covering the entire sourcing need in Nigeria for indirect materials and services.
• Secure sourcing process, process compliance, target fulfillment and reporting
• Line Manager for the Direct Sourcing Function
• Ensure that Nigeria Sourcing Strategy and Supplier Strategies and Guidelines nare aligned with Ericsson’s and Market Unit Strategies
• Ensure that the selection of suppliers and sourcing agreements reflect the Market Unit’s business and technology demand
• Drive and lead Direct Sourcing Functional Development Projects
• Participate in the activities of the Market Unit Regional Sourcing Steering Team.

Educational Qualifications and Experience:

• At least a bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Business Administration or similar discipline
• At least 5 years experience in the sourcing and /or sales profession

Skills and Competencies Required:

• Extensive negotiation experience and ability to lead negotiation teams
• Operational, Tactical and Strategic Sourcing Experience
• Ability to work and communicate with internal and external senior business management
• Management and Project Leadership skills
• An analytical and strategic mind
• Good contractual knowledge (business and Legal aspects)
• Excellent communication skills in English (both written and Verbal)
• Ability to take overall ownership of suppliers in all commercial, technical (supported by internal Stakeholders) an d financial aspects
• Good knowledge of region specific requirements and prerequisites
• Good knowledge of telecoms industry and experience in either Civil Works, Multimedia and System Integration would be an advantage.

Indirect Sourcing Manager
Key Responsibilities:

• To establish, manage and develop the Indirect Sourcing Function, covering the entire sourcing need in Nigeria for direct materials and services
• Secure Sourcing process, process compliance, target fulfillment and reporting
• Line Manager for the Nigeria Indirect Sourcing Function
• Ensure that Nigeria Sourcing Strategy and Supplier Strategies and Guidelines are Aligned with Ericsson’s and Market Unit Strategies
• Ensure that the selection of suppliers and sourcing agreements reflect the Market Unit’s business and Technology demand
• Drive and lead Indirect Sourcing Functional Development Projects
• Participate in the activities of the Market Unit Regional Souring Steering Team

• At least 5 years experience in the sourcing and / or sales profession
