Position: Manager, Quality Assurance
State

Job Description

  • Lead, coordinate and supervise the planning and execution of quality assurance activities of the Information Technology.
  • To lead and supervise the implementation of IT governance structures, execution of audit, quality and controls framework
  • Value created through optimum Assets (Network/Platform/Technology capacity) management & operations
  • Support Quality Management System (QMS) implementation activities within the IS group.
  • Liaise with QA personnel to ensure that Quality Assurance processes are implemented and adhered to within the IS group
  • Prepare and evaluate QA reports and make recommendations for best practice, and facilitate he identification of solutions subject to approval of Enterprise Architecture and Strategy Manager.
  • Update QA review work programs/ checklists promptly, frequently and appropriately for the various processes and activities within the IS function.
  • Review and approve the QA assessment reports of QA personnel.
  • Review the recommendations of the internal audit function as they relate to IS policies, standards and guidelines.
  • Support the implementation of internal and external audit recommendations that affect ISG.
  • Work with the testing function to ensure that appropriate testing techniques are employed.
  • Develop work plan for ensuring quality in ISG, and agree this with unit heads.
  • Liaise with all stakeholders in respect of the QA standards and best practices.
  • Continuously seek self-professional development to sharpen skills and capabilities in a versatile and evolving digital landscape.
  • Foster active collaboration and relationships with employees across all levels and divisions in line with MTN’s VB and values.
  • Drive Knowledge Management and Best Practice Sharing within own Unit/Department/Division/Enterprise-wide as required.

Requirements
Education:

  • First degree in the IT related field
  • Fluent in English
  • Professional Certification (CISA, SQA certificate, SIGMA).
  • In addition, certification in combination of the followings: ISO 9001 Lead Implementer, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer, CGEIT, CRISC, COBIT Implementer/Assessor, CISSP, CISM will be an added advantage

Experience:

  • 6 – 13 years of experience in an area of specialisation
  • Minimum of 5 years progressive experience within any of the following industries with a large organization: Banking, FCMG, Telecoms or Technology Consulting with high level experience in implementing governance structures, audit, IT quality and controls framework
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in supervising/managing others
  • Experience in Information systems audit or a similar role
  • Experience in information and communication technology (ICT)
  • Experience of business and technical risk assessment, controls design and testing for various Information Services systems and processes
  • Working experience in Cloud technologies/environments, Product development/Systems engineering, ERPs and IT operations
  • Experience working and collaborating with senior organizational stakeholders to achieve over-arching IT objectives.

Position: Analyst, Teen Segment (Supervisory)

Job Description

  • To implement, monitor and report on customer connection, usage and retention initiatives to drive achievement of business objectives for Teen segment of the consumer market
  • Provide relevant and up to date information to aid proper decision making with the authority limits of the Brand Manager
  • Provide input into the development of marketing plan that plays a role in effective product development, launch and quality adoption within the Teen segment
  • Monitor projects and ensure they are delivered to budget and on time.
  • Implement marketing strategies and initiatives to drive acquisition, usage and revenue growth of MTNN’s Teen Segment customers.
  • Manage and coordinate brand promotion, product launch and re-launch from end-to-end.
  • Develop work implementation plan, ensuring it is in alignment with the business strategy of the segment.
  • Continuously identify, review and monitor demographic profiles of the Teen segment customers
  • Work with the Teen Segment Manager in the development of advertising/communication concepts in support of MTN’s brand building initiatives that can be successfully executed in the Teen market place
  • Maintain and build the Teen brand through advertising, media and any other marketing means while managing relationship with key media agencies on a daily basis.
  • Execute Teen Segment growth strategy in conjunction with Product, Brands and Communication, Digital as well as Value Added Services teams
  • Manage relationship with Finance and ensure funds are available for projects in line with budget.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key teen influencers and customers

Job Description

  • To manage the implementation of all and existing TX and BTS upgrade
  • Support the Shareholder return strategy by developing and implementing the Division’s processes that are aligned to achieving all elements on the business score card. (I.e. Grow Market Share, Grow ICT & Data Revenue, Increase EBITDA margins, Assure Revenue, CAPEX Returns Management and Net Subscriber Additions).
  • Participate in the review of Business Processes (headcount, process optimisationetc), to drive efficiency gains in Divisional budget year-on-year.
  • Participate in Contract negotiations to reduce cost and drive MTNN Value Creation Philosophy.

  • Oversee the rollout of MTN TX and BTS upgrade, taking overall responsibility for maintenance of accurate site upgrade records and progress reports.
  • Track, monitor and control all stages of TX and BTS Upgrades, ensuring the upgrades are kept within scope, within budget, of expected quality and risks mitigated and related contracts are administered effectively.
  • Interface with site build contractors, vendors and local suppliers and carry out random checks to audit compliance with issued network deployment specifications.

  • Monitor external vendors, & agencies to ensure that targeted activations are cost effective and agreed deliverables.
  • Liaise with the legal division in ensuring proper negotiation and compliance to all relevant contractual agreements (MOU’s, & SLA’s),
  • Monitor & evaluate metrics to measure impact of current processes and strategy related to sponsorship, promotions, and events for the various customer segments

Position: Analyst, Mass Market Segment (Supervisory)

Job Description

  • To drive Customer adoption, usage and retention for mobile financial services and manage churn intelligence information on an on-going basis, (in relation to benchmarking and competition)
  • Provide insight to MFS Segment Management.
  • Evaluate performance measured against the following areas:
    • Number of MFS transactions performed by customers
    • Identify a new opportunity/enhancement
    • Post Go- to- Market intelligence gathering and insight
    • Customer Lifecycle management.
  • Collect, analyze and interpret a wide variety of MFS data and develop weekly /monthly reports in preparation for business review meetings.
